I'm Thankful
By:student2
I'm thankful for my dice,
But my sister thought it was ice,
I'm thankful for my dog,
He really was a hog,
I'm thankful for my cat,
He got killed by a bat,
I'm thankful for my socks,
They really felt like blocks,
I'm thankful for my turkey,
My mom made it into beef jerkey,
I'm thankful for rock,
My cousin really likes to talk,
I'm thankful for my thumb,
when people look at it they turn dumb,
I'm thankful for my blood,
It helps me be a stud,
I'm thankful for my hand,
Or else I can't play in the band,
I'm thankful for my eye,
So I can eat my pumpkin pie.

I escpecially like the rhymes that could be true, such as the dice mistaken for ice; the dog who was a hog; the turkey made into jerkey.
Very clever and unique ideas. You really tried to follow the pattern.
